New Items:: PIDIDDLE

I was offered a blogger review pack of the new items of PIDIDDLE and I just want to thank the owner because I love the store. Out now you can find Kimchi Racerback Tanks, Raw Bones Leotards, and Scrunchy Wool Socks! Also there are new tattoos. I have new items from everywhere just sitting in my folder so I thought why not combine the new items with the items I have here and try to come up with a couple of outfits.

Joint Couple Post: Jenny and Shane.

From now until the end of the year, each week Shane and I are going to take a famous couple (whether it’s fictional or not) , go off of their style, and incorporate it into our own for a joint post. Five months ago (I can’t believe this has only been going on for five months), Shane and I were searching for names for our new blog we were working on. We tried EVERYTHING when all of a sudden the name Les Girls spoke to us. It made sense at the time. We’re a couple both IRL and in SL and like most of our bisexual and lesbian friends, we would watch and discuss a show called The L Word. At the time when the show was first on, it was innovative. It was special. I’ve never seen a show that portrayed lesbian and bisexuals in such a way before. We were lawyers, writers, athletes, in the corporate world, everywhere. For me personally, the L word gave me the ability to accept myself for who I am and not be ashamed to love anyone whether it’s a male or female. It made me realize I’m not the only one out there and it is OK to be myself and love myself. The L Word meant something to us and thus Les Girls was a perfect name to give back in a way to a show that gave to us. Jennifer Schecter and Shane McCutcheon are two of our favorites. Despite the terrible ending, Shenny was a great testimony of friendship. And so for our first couple try if you will, Shane and I are going to attempt to bring Shenny back in a positive light and ignore the whole Jenny dying thing.

Walking in a winter wonderland… (in November but still, this is SL.)

Clear blogged before. I love when she blogs. She looks at the SL world with less congested eyes than me. Originally, when I was shooting these pictures (the first time, before I saw some hair on someone else’s blog that I wanted instead of the one I’d originally been wearing) I came up with a poem, flowing out as I walked around. It’s gone, but that doesn’t have to put a stop to me showing the awesomeness that is Winterstock. It’s a beautiful sim, I can even see that with my graphics on low. I wanted to give a feel of loneliness in the cold, using the silent hill windlight setting (which, again, am sure looks better on high or ultra) but I think with the help of the mini vodka bottle from Somethin’ in your Mouth helped a lot. Take a look. Maybe I’ll even include my style card, woop woop.

Oh and by the way? Check our our skin fair outfits.

Lelutka’s Fall/Winter Line 2009.

Lelutka, in my opinion, has always had exceptional clothes that led the way in SL Fashion, and their new fall/winter line isn’t any exception. Shane and I were lucky enough to have the opportunity to show off the new male and female line and decided to keep it simple with a white background to allow you to see how intricate and magnificent the textures are. Shane is going to be showcasing the male line to show you that even women can wear some things there with just a few editing of the prims. In my personal opinion, the Lelutka team of designers are getting better with each release they come out with. Though it was just a couple of outfits and shoes, I hope that this isn’t it from them for the winter and we can expect something for at least Christmas.

Just another Saturday.

The days go by so fast, I can hardly fit what feels like three breaths into 24 hours. It’s crazy. When the days go by fast, obviously, the weeks roll on, and before you know it another weekend is coming to a close. Prepared to start your week all over again? Stuck in a mindless, numbing routine you can’t get out of? Yeah, I know how it is. For most of us, that’s why we sign on SL. Nothing the same, everything different. At the same time, I find myself wishing life away from the computer was equally as enthralling. I’m tired of walking the same walks, seeing the same faces with names I don’t know, buying the same things, week in and week out. I’ve taken to reading the newspaper on weekdays. “Slow day for news,” I’ll say as my eyes drip with exhaustion after 8 hours of sleep. Have to play tonight, have to vent it all out in words that don’t belong in my mouth, wake up the next day and the same looming sense of banal existence looms over my shoulder. That is, of course, until Clear gets home. I know it sounds ridiculous to some people. Keep RL and SL separate, and I’m glad you can do that. But what if your SL isn’t your SL at all? What if SL is your RL in animated form, and all of your feelings are true, if not truer, than those when away? She’s a big part of my life, and some days it’s often quite daunting when I’m six hours ahead and I can’t see her.

But I digress. Weekends we can spend more time together. And so we blog!
