My fall look.
I’m battling a cold. It must be fall! I got these shoes from this week’s 50L from Reek and I thought, these would be a good staple to build an outfit around. This is what I came up with. Happy Monday.
I have a confession. I can’t fit prim and/or sculptie lashes to save a life. This is an unfortunate time for me. For months I’ve been walking around with either my lashes floating or no lashes at all. Luckily there are tattoo lashes from Garage. They only work on the 2.0 version of SL, but these have saved my life.
Still on Hiatus!
We’re still on what you call an unofficial hiatus break. There are a lot of things going on. For example I’m back in school at the moment (Accounting major, ugh) and I’m trying to get adjusted to these nine week blocks and Shane has lost all will to update. Just kidding, maybe she’ll get it back in the upcoming days. But today, today is a weird day. I’ve been out of the loop of SL for a few weeks now, but when I went through my folders I saw an assortment of things from stores so I’m going to try to blog it on my free time and force Shane to dress up with me.
The skin I’m wearing is from Plastik and it’s apart of the Elven Lionheart series. The color of choice I’m wearing is porcelain. What I like about this skin the most is the fact it comes with elf ears that already match the skin color!! Finally I don’t have to fiddle with it and worry about how it looks on other people’s windlight settings.
I also grabbed my girl to show off some new summer items that are floating around on the grid. It’s a quick blog post, but hey we’re still alive and kicking! I can’t believe Shane and I have been blogging for a year almost. That’s crazy.
Start of a new week.
It’s the start of a new week! Which means nothing cause I do the same thing every week. Real life is fun, right? I tell you what is fun, new releases from I Love Olive, Reek, and Nayar. Also I picked up something Shane thinks is funny, but it’s the reason why I am finally on 2.0.
We’ll start off with the new release from I Love Olive called Jolene. This hair is adorable! I swear the creators of I Love Olive are getting better with every release they come out with. Jolene is a side sweep ponytail hair with a clip on the side of it. I kept clicking on the clip and it didn’t do anything so sadly you can’t change it’s colors. I like this hair. It’s sporty and flirty and goes well with the rest of this outfit.
Nayar! released Sissi tube tops and no one can go wrong with tube tops in Second Life. I’m wearing the pink and grey tube top. I paired it off with the old short release from Surf Co. for a casual look.
I remember back in the nineties everyone from where I was from used to wear their socks underneath their sandals. I thought that fashion trend was stupid! It made no sense whatsoever. However with Reek’s new sandal release, I can’t seem to stop wearing these sandals. I like the work that was put into making the foot part of the sock. You can also get these sandals without the socks and wear them plain. I love these!
I had to get 2.0 so I can wear the teeth tattoo from a store called Porcupine Love. If you’re a fan of teeth on skin, now you can have teeth on all of your skin with this layer for 2.0. If you don’t have 2.0, you can go to the shop and get the prim version of it. Each are only 30L. I’m not a fan of teeth, but I like these. I’m going to wear it all week (maybe) and see which skins look good with it.

Reek Beachwear!
Reek has released a new line of board shorts for girls (or men who like shorts to fall right into their balls. 😉 ) and mix and match them bikini tops and bottoms. The tops have a sculpted tie around the back and the shorts have a tie that goes in the front and the option to not have a tie. There is also a tie on either side of the bikini bottoms, but either I’m really skinny or the ties on the bottoms are too far from your hips. You can move it closer by editing each piece, but it’s kind of a pain. Other than that little obstacle, the shorts and bikinis are amazing and I’m impressed with the seams on the shorts.
I got Shane to come and take pictures and her and I are going to show you some of the mix match things you can do with these bathing suits. Aw look, Shane and I are two for two for blogging together. I know we won’t do it tomorrow sadly.
ACTION, REEK AND I LOVE OLIVE.
All in the same few days? Get out of town.
Nope. Nope I won’t, because it’s true. This might by my favourite hair on SL yet (at least right now). It’s messy, it’s different, it’s totally by I LOVE OLIVE, who is one of my favourite hair suppliers on the whole entire grid. Also, as an allegedly unknowing ‘hipster’, Mr Riq Graves should’ve known I’d buy me up some of his new shades. And last but not least, Action released new skinny ties and ballet flats. I wouldn’t personally wear the flats but they’re so hot that my avatar demanded I show them off. The tie is, well, exactly what I’ve been looking for, for more than 8 months. The chalkboard is by my friend Clementine Ishtari from AWESOME BLOSSOM. You can write whatever you want on it, and naturally, my messages are for Clear.
Look of Saturday
If you need any SLURLs, don’t be afraid to ask here, Plurk or in world. I delete all my landmarks because I like to have the smallest inventory possible, but I’ll help out anybody who would like it.
Lots of shiz!
Firstly, Bryce Designs’ hair has been one of my favourites since I discovered it about six months ago. Bryce Tully was kind enough to tell me that he’d read the blog and gave me a gift card for his store to go help myself to some things to blog – I was over there like a shot, I swear. He has some new releases since I went there last, including a monkey hat that I don’t actually ever want to take off. (I did today, though!) I love how great the hair gets with each new release, and I want you to all go down there and check out the stuff he has; be you male or female. Some of the styles, as you can see, work for both.
Secondly, I went to the Haiti Relief Fundraiser to pick up some stuff, walking away with a lot. Today I’m wearing a few bits and bobs, like one of Reek’s t-shirts, and some cute little STOP signs for your mouth. Oral fixation, even in SL. Ha. Teamed with a jacket from one of my favourite little designers, IZUMIYA, my jeans-of-the-moment from Naive, and some sexy slip ons I got in the shoes and accessories hunt when Clear and I did it yesterday, I can safely say that I wish I had the money to dress like this IRL.
New Items at Lelutka.
When Azufr3 Catteneo of LeLutka passed me the new items at Lelutka, my jaw dropped. I thought he only made clothes for males and therefore I was kind of shocked to see that he was passing me something. He’s coming out with an assortment of coats, which is probably one of my favorite accessory to have in SL. What I like most about the coats is that like all coats in Letluka, it comes with an AO that’s specifically used for wearing the coat. I really like that. Not only did he create new coats, but there are also pants and a corset. I didn’t want to make this entry too picture oriented so I decided to leave the corset and pants out, but it doesn’t mean I’m not going to use the items for another post. I matched a lot of old items with the new jackets.
I decided to get out of the four walls of my skybox and take my pictures on a sim. Shane and I have been doing a lot of exploring and there are some great sims out there that are perfect for picture taking! If only I can stop crashing and if only I can figure out why my shadows are all over the place when I click “basic shaders.” I suppose it all means I need a new graphics card, but this computer is just a year and a couple months old. Oh well. Hope you enjoy the scenery. Chances are I’ll be behind a white wall next time. Maybe. I did have fun doing this!
