New Store: *Kawaii*
When I logged into SL today, I found a review box from Anoushka Feden. She owns a new store called *Kawaii* and gave me two things to review for you all.
Surf Couture!
This is a true story here, no lie. I remember when I used to roleplay on the Kindly Sim (something I miss terribly btw) with my sister, Noelle Parisi. We were claiming to be twins and thus needed a wardrobe to match that. We were scouring the whole SL universe for something we can call our own and we ran into a little shop called Surf Couture. I’ve never heard of the shop before, but it had the cutest summery things in it. After going “OMG!!! WE FOUND A STORE”, Noelle and I went nuts and probably dropped 5K in an hour buying everything. The best buy were the basic flats, something I still wear to this day. Everyone asked where we got the flats from and we’d either “crash”, pretend we didn’t understand english, or ignore that person. There was one girl in particular who used to whine and whine and WHINE but we never told her where we got the items for. That was until one of our friend said “Lolz~ just inspect them~~” Though I’m against anti shields, I would have loved to have one back then. Surf Couture was our special store and every day we’d pop over to see if there was something new.
Fast forward to Friday, I had an offline from Emma Gilmour who asked said she liked reading my blog and wondered if I wanted to blog her new releases. Um, seriously? I’ve never geeked out over a person so much than I have her because I love her stuff hardcore. I watched her store grow for two years now and the thought she read Shane and I’s blog and she liked it??? Yeah, I fan girled. And I’m fan girling right here. I can’t help it. Surf Couture has been my shit for years now and each release is better than the release before. I know I sound like a nerd/stalker but these are quality clothes here. How do I know these are quality clothes? Well Shane was wearing the Havana Dress for hours with long hair and heels. Yes, SHANE. I should’ve snapped a picture of her.
There are new releases there that a lot of people have been blogging about which I think is a good thing. There’s the Havering Dress, Slouchy Thread Sweater, Belmar Skinny Jeans, Rendezvous Printed and V Necks. The Belmar Skinny jeans do not have any prims, but sock attachments to complete the look. Usually I don’t like skinny jeans without sculpties, but these are so well made. You shouldn’t really hide them with boots even though I did in one picture. They also come in an optional dot print version.
So after a lazy weekend, Shane and I realized we wanted to get this stuff out and show you how awesome Surf Co. is, as if you already didn’t know. Everything comes on all layers which is good if you’d like to create a stunning outfit to piece. I rambled enough, let’s get to the pics.

Finally Shane blogs with me!
Finally Shane and I had a chance to get together and blog! This hasn’t happened all year. As you know I’m a store manager at Naive. There are some new releases there if you check out the website. There’s also a new build! Naive’s things are relatively cheap and they range from formal wear to casual wear and even men’s wear. Shane and I thought it’d be cool to go there and find a few pieces to complete our outfits today, and we blogged together!

Look of the Day.
Today is Sunday, making tomorrow Monday. I’m not a fan of Sundays, knowing tomorrow is always Monday. Same shit, different week, so I will express my distaste of the day via interpretive dance.
Lots of things today.
I haven’t been feeling good lately. I lost my mojo a little bit so everything I’ve had in my inventory that’s new has been festering and waiting for the perfect day to come out. Today was that day. There are so many good releases that’s out on the grid that goes with the old things in my inventory that it was a blast to put outfits together (or POTing as Shane likes to call it) and bring you some new interesting looks. But before I get into anything, I want to announce that TODAY IS THE LAST DAY OF THE NAIVE GIRL CONTEST. SEE HERE FOR DETAILS. That’s how you kill two birds with one stone. Skipping Stones Hunt
Shane, along with a group of friends, and I decided to do the Skipping Stones Hunt. Holy nuts, I didn’t know there were 61 good stores to go to. We started at about 5PM SLT and didn’t get done until 9PM! Good going designers! It was lots of fun and I can’t wait for the next hunt. These are the free things I picked up.

Grease is the word, almost – Pt. 1
Today brought a randomised rock star look to the table, and in passing, Clear said something about us doing a shoot/blog; the lesbian version of Sandy and Danny, so that’s what we did. Basically, it’ll be a two part post depicting the beginning and end of the movie (or near enough to). Part 1 will be the beginning of the movie; guy(girl) and girl meet on a beach on summer vacation, have an allegedly intense, few-day-long love affair, kiss and then… I SOLVE MY PROBLEMS AND I SEE THE LIGHT. Part 2, on the other hand, will be the sexy little role reversal towards the end of the film, where Sandy reemerges as a slutty whore and completely wins the affections of Danny. Grease, as you can tell, is a story of such deep morals. No, I’m kidding, but it is one of the greatest musicals of our time. Fuck “West Side Story” – though I do feel pretty, witty or gay at least once a day – Grease is one of the best, and it gets no better than John Travolta and Cha Cha; the best dancer at St. Bernadette’s.

I think it’s fabulous when you come across something you like in the game and it’s less than 100L; even more fabulous when it’s under 25L. Clear TPed me to a little store called Bagley or these plaid shirts (thinking of going back to get more) for 15. I held back at first. I’d blown through my allowance for last week, so was trying to preserve it at the very least, but without the slightest idea of how it’d look on me, I went all out and bought it. When I finally turned it on, it rocked my world. Armed in black and white plaid, she and I both took on the world with a new sense of self and an ethereal vibe (lol) of, well, Just Fucked…? I can’t say a lot more just yet, I watched the MJ memorial and I’m still wiping my sore eyes.
And since we didn’t get shots of Clear, we did get one of the two of us.

Also, today – right now – the NOH8 gallery has opened its doors. Clear and I will (hopefully) be checking it out sometime today in our Hair Fair Outfits. As has been said in the official blog, if you want to go mix and mingle without the sim crashing, wear low prim attire. You can look fanciful in bright orange jumpsuits, I assure you. But really, you should go and check out the result of the project started by Trace and co. last month. I can’t wait!
